Broker of the Year 2010 - DAB Bank: ETF Broker of the Year

Award ceremony in Stuttgart. At Invest, Germany's largest investor trade fair, the winners of the Competition broker choice 2010 presented. The premiere this time was the election of the ETF Broker of the Year.

ETF Broker of the Year 2010 is DAB Bank, closely followed by comdirect and bokerjet in third place. This is the order in which the winners of 2010 present themselves. The awards ceremony took place on April 24 at Invest on the stage of the Stuttgart Stock Exchange. The event, which presented the selected top brokers from a total of eight categories, offered special highlights this year. It was moderated by Mike Michal from the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and stock market correspondent Holger Scholze. The occasion for the festive setting was the 10th anniversary of the broker choice.
According to Brokerwahl founder David Ernsting, the event is now "the largest event of its kind in the German-speaking world". The idea for the first election in 2000 arose from the former comparison portal discountbroker.de. Now the customer should also rate. If at the beginning only in the category Discountbroker one selected, then with the spread of different financial instruments gradually further categories were added. In line with the success of ETFs, the best ETF brokers could also be selected for the first time this year. This is also the tenth year since the introduction of exchange traded funds in Germany and Europe. From the point of view of the ETF industry, at least another reason to celebrate.

DAB is ETF Broker 2010

All-round satisfaction with the title of ETF Broker of the Year is expressed by Jürgen Eikenbusch, Spokesman of the DAB Bank: "This is due in no small part to the success of our ever-expanding offering with detailed information for customers on our platform." When asked what makes a good broker from the customer's point of view, he says: "A broad range of products, favorable fees, smooth processing, and good accessibility and customer service." Incidentally, DAB Bank was the overall winner in the last EXtra ETF savings test (April 2010).

comdirect close behind

Also the second placed comdirectwhich also came first in the online broker category, sees its efforts confirmed. "We try to be as close to the customer as possible," says comdirect spokeswoman Christiane Krämer, referring to the extensive website offering. "There are over 10,000 funds tradable with us, and you can find out about them for every WKN. And for ETFs, there are over 600 with extensive information."

brokerjet steps on the gas

Hakan Özal, Head of Customer Management at Wiener Erste Bank subsidiary brokerjetÖzal is pleased with the third place, but is not surprised: "We have really stepped on the gas lately in terms of ETFs with events, an expansion of the product range, we were one of the few to lend on ETFs and much more. brokerjet says it offers more than 700 ETFs, some of which are also traded over the counter in OTC trading. For Özal, one of the most important quality criteria of a broker is his professionalism. "He must be available and spontaneously give the right answer to every question."

In total, almost all brokers took part in the 2010 broker poll and over 45,000 participants voted - a further increase on the previous year.
