With a level of 72.39 points (December 2010: 72.23 points), the Transaction Cost Index<\/a> with a slight increase in the new year. The reason for this is the already announced change in conditions at SEBdirect.<\/p>\n

Larger order volumes have become more expensive. Instead of 24.99 euros, you now pay 30.00 euros for a 10,000 euro order, and for an order volume of 15,000 euros, you now pay 45.00 euros instead of 32.49 euros. However, the change also brings some advantages. Especially small order volumes have become cheaper. For example, for a 5,000 euro order you now only pay 15.00 euros instead of 17.49 euros. In addition, the maximum order fee has been capped at 59.90 euros.<\/p>\n

But not only the pure order fees have an impact on the total cost of a transaction. Decisive are also how the respective broker deals with partial executions or at which price, for example, your stock trade is executed. Thus, it is also worth taking a look at the services of the stock exchanges.<\/p>\n

About the Transaction Cost Index<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Broker-Test.de Transaction Cost Index represents the ongoing development of average transaction costs since July 2000 on a monthly basis. The starting point is July 2000 with an index value of 100. The transaction cost index includes the transaction costs incurred for ten different order volumes with the online brokers relevant in Germany. Thus, it also includes fluctuations due to the market entry of new brokers or the market exit of brokers.<\/p>\n
