The transaction cost index for July 2011 thus remains at a low level of 70.20 points.<\/p>\n<p>Even though there has again been no change in the pure transaction costs on XETRA compared to last month, at least flatex has lowered the fixed order fees for trading on Canadian and US exchanges from 24.90 euros to 19.90 euros.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from this, again some brokers offer various <a href=\"http:\/\/www.broker-test.de\/broker-aktionen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Free trade, free buy and flat fee promotions<\/a>from which investors can benefit. For example, DAB bank offers a no-fee promotion with Barclays and Cortal Consors a discount promotion with Scoach. A Limit-FreeBuy promotion with Commerzbank is offered by OnVista Bank and the ETF-Freebuy promotion with ComStage, ETFlab and UBS has been extended by comdirect until September 30. At Sparkassen Broker, a flat-fee promotion with Commerzbank has been running since July 1, and Cortal Consors offers a freebuy promotion for Citigroup products on commodities and precious metals. At ING-DiBa, free trade promotions have been running since the beginning of the month with Goldman Sachs, HypoVereinsbank onemarkets, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Citigroup, and at maxblue, certificates and leveraged products from Goldman Sachs can still be purchased free of charge until the end of August.<\/p>\n<p>The Broker-Test.de transaction cost index represents the current development of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.broker-test.de\/transaktionskosten-index\/online-broker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">average order fees<\/a> for stock trading since July 2000 on a monthly basis. The starting point is July 2000 with an index value of 100. The transaction cost index includes the transaction costs incurred for ten different order volumes at the online brokers relevant in Germany. Thus, it also includes fluctuations due to the market entry of new brokers or the market exit of brokers.<br \/>\nThe transaction cost index had its lowest value to date in August 2008 with a value of 69.02 points.<\/p>\n<p>By way of comparison, the average transaction costs of traditional branch banks are around 300 points higher than the transaction cost index of online brokers, i.e. a trade there is on average more than four times more expensive than with an online broker.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The average order fees of the discount brokers relevant in Germany again remain unchanged compared with June 2011.
