After the Berlin Daytrade Broker Lynx<\/a> reduced its order fees for share purchases via XETRA at the turn of the month, the Shares Transaction costs Index<\/a> (ATI) fell to its low for the year of 70.09 points and is approaching its absolute low of August 2008 (69.02 points at the time). This means that the index has already fallen by around 3% since the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

The next few weeks will show whether other brokers will also reduce their order fees. Deutsche B\u00f6rse, for example, just reported a Sales increase on XETRA by 25 percent<\/a> - from June to July alone. Compared with the same month last year, the figure was as high as 27 percent.<\/p>\n

With the stock markets currently very volatile, trading volumes are likely to remain very high for some time to come.
\nIn view of increased order turnover, there would therefore be sufficient scope for fee reductions at present...<\/p>\n
