The Broker Test Order Fees Index (BOI) increased by 2.08 points in June from the previous month to a value of 73.25 points.<\/p>\n
The reason for this was a renewed increase in order fees at Postbank as of May 20, 2019, in some cases by up to 50% (Postbank had only significantly increased its order fees as of October 2018) as well as an increase in the order commission for the Freebuy Depot of onvista bank from previously 0.23% to now 0.25% of the order volume and an increase in the cap from 39.00 to 49.00 euros. Also the onvista bank had raised only to 01. March this yearly the all-inclusive expenses of 1.50 euro on 2.00 euro per order.<\/p>\n
Compared to the previous month, the Broker-Test Order Fees Index thus rose from 71.17 to 73.25 points.<\/p>\n
The Order Fees Index, which has been showing the development of order fees of online brokers since July 2000, had recorded lows for a longer period in 2017. Since 2018, however, the index has been moving upwards again step by step. From the historical low (68.21 points in March 2017), the Broker-Test Order Fees Index is now more than 5 points away. Whether one can already speak of a general trend reversal here will be seen in the coming months. Nevertheless, it remains the case that the transaction costs at online brokers are still significantly cheaper compared to traditional branch banks.
