Broker Election 2023 - the election for Broker of the Year 2023 has been decided!
From 01 to 31 March 2023, 66,000 traders, investors and investors voted for their favorite broker in these 6 categories at www.brokerwahl.de:
- Online Broker of the Year
- Daytrade Broker of the Year
- ETF & Funds Broker of the Year
- CFD Broker of the Year
- Forex Broker of the Year
- Crypto Broker of the Year
While last year there were five changes at the top, this time it was more balanced: in three categories the previous year's winner was able to maintain his title and in three categories there was a new winner.
- flatex was able to defend its previous year's success in the main category "Online Broker of the Year 2023" and in the category "ETF & Fund Broker of the Year 2023", but fell out of the top 3 this year after winning the title of Daytrade Broker of the Year 2022
- comdirect was again able to finish ahead of Consorsbank in the main category, after third place in the previous year, and was only very slightly behind flatex in the end.
- There was a clear trend in the "Daytrade Broker of the Year 2023" category: smaller specialized brokers prevailed over larger brokers. The winner was justTRADE ahead of LYNX and ActivTrades. Consorsbank and flatex followed in 4th and 5th place.
- In addition to flatex, justTRADE also won in two categories. As in the previous year, the Frankfurt-based company also secured first place in the crypto broker category.
- the most top 3 placements were secured by ActivTrades. In addition to first place among Forex brokers, there was also a third place among CFD brokers and day trading brokers.
- XTB won the "CFD Broker of the Year 2023" category ahead of Pepperstone and ActivTrades
- Trade Republic was not able to achieve a victory, but at least it was in the top rankings twice: 2nd place among crypto brokers and 3rd place among ETF & fund brokers.
Online Broker of the Year 2023
flatex very narrowly defended its title from the previous year and is therefore "Online Broker of the Year 2023". However, the gap to second-placed comdirect was only razor-thin and not much was missing and the broker from Quickborn would have won the title in the most important category again, as in the years 2018 to 2021.
Last year's runner-up, Consorsbank from Nuremberg, swapped places with comdirect and came third this time.
Strikingly, only NeoBrokers were represented in places 4 to 7. Fourth place went to finanzen.net zero, followed by Scalable Capital, Trade Republic and, at a slightly greater distance, justTRADE. At least the first three were so close behind Consorsbank that one can already be very curious about the broker choice 2024. Will one of the NeoBrokers make it into the top 3 of the main category for the first time?
LYNX, onvista bank, ActivTrades, S Broker and 1822direkt placed 8th and next.
Daytrade Broker of the Year 2023
Here, flatex was unable to repeat last year's victory and had to settle for 5th place in the end. On the other hand, the winner from 2021 and runner-up in 2022, justTRADE, was successful again. LYNX and ActivTrades follow in 2nd and 3rd place, then Consorsbank, flatex, JFD Brokers and ViTrade.
ETF & Fund Broker of the Year 2023
In the ETF & Funds Broker category, as in 2022, the winner was flatex in first place ahead of Consorsbank. Trade Republic came in third, just ahead of Scalable Capital, the third-place finisher in the previous year. This is followed by justTRADE, S Broker and maxblue (Deutsche Bank).
CFD Broker of the Year 2023
In the category CFD Broker of the Year there was a close fight among the top three - all were very close to each other at the end. In the end, XTB prevailed over Pepperstone and ActivTrades. Last year's winner Admirals followed in fourth place ahead of WH SelfInvest.
Forex Broker of the Year 2023
In the category Forex Broker of the Year, especially the first place was hard-fought. In the end, ActivTrades was able to prevail over GBE Brokers. JFD Brokers followed with some distance on the third place and CMC Markets, eToro and Tickmill took the next places.
Crypto Broker of the Year 2023
The "Crypto Broker of the Year" title was awarded for only the second time in 2023 and last year's winner, justTRADE, was able to repeat its victory. This category also showed how well established the NeoBrokers have become. All three top places went to this broker group. Trade Republic took second place ahead of finanzen.net zero. They were followed by Tradovate and BUX.
